1. Spend the Day at Lake Blue Ridge

Lake Blue Ridge is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and offers hours of both relaxation and fun. When you stay in our community, you will be right on the lake! You’ll have lakefront access and can spend some time in our lakefront clubhouse. Lake Blue Ridge is one of Georgia’s most picturesque mountain lakes. Go for a swim in the crystal clear aquamarine waters, sit back and enjoy the view, or have some fun out on the water kayaking or jet skiing!

2. Ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway

The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is a 26-mile journey through Blue Ridge, winding along the Toccoa River in vintage, climate-controlled or open-air rail cars. Your 4-hour ride begins at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, then you’ll have a 2-hour layover where you can eat lunch, shop for antiques and grab some ice cream, then you’ll enjoy the 1-hour return trip! There are great views and opportunities for fun on this journey.

3. Go Hiking

Blue Ridge is full of outdoor activities, and one of the best is hiking! Waterside at Blue Ridge is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest, which has more than 450 miles of trails for you to explore. You will definitely want to try one of the gorgeous waterfall hikes! A popular waterfall hike is to Long Creek Falls along the Appalachian Trail. On your way to the falls, you will explore a lush valley before reaching the rushing cascade that flows under a forest canopy of hemlock, tulip polar and rhododendron.

4. Zipline
